A better day

Loved Ones,

Today was a better day for Ray. The chemo's effects seem lessened and he had more energy which was great for the soccer games.

Our girls patience at the many demands we face continues to amaze us. We are so blessed to have so many loving friends and family to watch them and we are so thankful that they adapt and have fun without us. We are very grateful for the prayers which we know make this possible. And, oh the joy when we return home!

We heard this song based on the prayer of St. Francis on Thursday. It has been running through our minds ever since. We especially hope that we can live the mission of the second verse.

Make me a channel of your peace,
Where there's despair in life, let me bring hope,
Where there is darkness, only light,
And where there's sadness, ever joy.

O Master grant that I may never seek,
So much to be consoled as to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love with all my soul.
